Ryan Wiggins, a 14-year-old teen boy who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, created an anti-bullying video to bring awareness to the hardships that he faces on a daily basis.

With just a camera, tripod, and selfie stick, Ryan created the short film, Tomorrow.

He begins the movie with getting out of bed, saying, “Will I ever know what it’s like to wake up every morning with no fears, regrets, or worries? Perhaps not today, but maybe tomorrow.” The video follows Ryan struggling to look at himself in a mirror, getting ready for and going to school. Soon after, the shot changes over to Ryan crying in a room that he appears to be alone in.

“Will all this ever end? Will there ever come a time where I am finally happy?”

We then see Ryan running home, collapsing at his front door, and reflecting on his suffering, only to be attacked with terrible text messages that read “kill yourself”, “freak”, and “go die.”

Ryan has told people that he would come home from school and go straight to bed “to have the day end.”

“It’s not really going to get better if you just leave it. That’s the truth… it won’t. All you can do is just talk to someone… The best thing you can do is just talk to someone.”

The full video can be watched below.

We must work together to abolish the harm that bullying does to our society. It is something that we are constantly working towards, with improvements being made everyday. We look forward to the day that we can say bullying is a thing of the past… “Maybe tomorrow.”
